Colorblind

Choreography by Sigríður Soffía for Silesian Dance Theater in Bytom Poland. The piece was a collaboration between Silesian Dance Theater and the Icelandic Dance Company. Colorblind premiered in Bytom Poland on the 29th of June 2010 and was performed in Iceland and Warsaw in October 2010.

About the choreography:
In parts of the choreography the dancers influence each other. No performance is therefore the same. A complex game of dancefrases was structured for the middle part of the piece leaving the composition and dynamic to the chance of the game. The dancers therefore form an organic system of their own like a school of fish swimming in a highly synchronized and polarized manner.
